Zumba® classes in Boulder are fun and easy! 

Our Zumba® classes are more on the dance side and not so much aerobics. We give both vocal and visual cues to guide you through energetic dance routines so you feel like a great dancer right away. We provide fitness tips throughout the class to ensure safe and effective movements.

Notice I said "we"? Most of our Zumba® classes feature both Mary Kay and Donna teaching in the front line. The result is that you can see the dance moves from anywhere in the room. We routinely switch as the lead instructor with the other as a second cue.

We laugh, dance, sweat to the best dance music from around the world.
Our dance routines are repeated often so you really get to know the moves. We also keep it spicy by bringing in fresh new songs and  moves every month.
We offer Zumba®, Zumba® Toning, Zumba® Gold, Gold Toning® and Zumbatomic®, so there's a party for everyone.
Our Zumba® Gold is great  dance fitness for active seniors or beginners. Gold Toning® even adds light weights to maintain posture and upper body strength.

The Avalon Ballroom's Soda Hall is the perfect place for Zumba®. It was designed by dancers for dancers! It offers 2,700 sq. ft. of state of the art floating dance floor with mirrored walls. Big room to move big!!! 
Our location is convenient to Boulder, Louisville, Lafayette, Erie, Longmont, and Broomfield. There's plenty of parking within steps of the main entrances.

I've danced all of my life with formal dance training as a child and teen. I danced my way through the 70's, 80's and 90's at discos and clubs. After that, I would dance occasionally, but not on a regular basis. I found that I needed to go to a gym and workout if I wanted to stay in shape. I'm just not the gym type. I would stare at the timer on the cardio machine hoping that 20 minutes would go by soon. Then I would lift the same weights, the same number of times, stretch and leave. I was less than motivated and could not keep a routine of exercise going.

Then, I discovered Zumba®! It set me free. It's a complete fitness workout disguised as a dance party. I get my ab toning standing up. How cool is that? 

I got so hooked on Zumba® that I was taking 5 classes a week. That's when I decided to become an instructor so I could share this experience with everyone I know.

I can honestly say that I am in the best shape in my whole lifetime right now at age 60! And I have a blast at every class.

I LOVE our class dancers...the are always open to new ideas and songs. 
They inspire me to cue my best and bring fresh choreography to keep our classes fresh and full of energy.

Hi, I am Donna Shonle and I have been teaching all kinds of dance classes for the past 30 years as well as performing dance for community events.

A year ago I discovered Zumba and have fallen in love with it. I love the Latin rhythms and the sizzling moves. Every class feels like a party not a work out. It is great fun for everyone, you don't even need to know how to dance, you just follow the leader and move your body to the music. This is the most fun way to get fit that I've ever seen. I really enjoy working with adults and children of all ages. I like to make my classes fun, creative and energetic. It's so easy, come and join the party with me if you are in the area.

Hi, I am Nikki and I have been practicing all kinds of sports since I was child: fencing, gymnastics, ice skating, aerobics, kangoo jumps and dancing, which I enjoyed the most!

Since I discovered Zumba, just by chance years ago, I fell completely in love with it, making it an integral part of my life!

In the beginning, I was very surprised that after a day of hard work, just doing Zumba for an hour would restore my energy level, all while having fun and staying in great shape. I didn't feel like doing boring, tough, countless fitness monotonic routines but rather like partying happily for an hour and get my workout in the same time!

Zumba gave me that and made me wish to share this experience, these amazing benefits, of positive energy, joy, fun and good health, so I became a Zumba instructor.

Don't worry about the steps, you will be cued at every move. The important thing is to have fun and the workout will just happen. Just come and join the party!
